2008: The beginning
GR8 Thatch started as a family-owned traditional thatching business, focusing on new lapas, thatch roofs and quality structures.
2012: Reroofing expands
As demand grew for lower-maintenance roof finishes, we introduced lightweight stone-coated and metal reroofing alternatives.
2017: Rooiberg base
The business relocated from the West Rand to Rooiberg to serve the Waterberg’s concentration of thatched homes, lodges and lapas.
